Sydney Dance Company - Ascent
Sydney Dance Company is thrilled to present Ascent, an inspired triple bill featuring world premieres by Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela and renowned international choreographer Marina Mascarell.
Ascent tempers contemporary classical with futuristic experimentation, with three innovative works from local and international talents, showcased by Australia's leading contemporary dance company.

Canberra Comedy Festival
The Canberra Theatre Centre will play host to the Canberra Comedy Festival between 16 - 26 March 2023.
Starting off with the RAW Comedy ACT State Final on Friday 17 March, the prestigious open mic night will set the tone, followed by the well-renown and back by popular demand, Canberra Comedy Gala evening.
Featuring a huge range of comedians from Stephen K Amos, Wil Anderson, Cal Wilson and Rove McManus, the options are stacked and you cannot go wrong!

Julia - World Premier
In 2012 Julia Gillard, Australia’s first female prime minister, gave a speech that sent shockwaves around the world. The Misogyny Speech was a parliamentary speech delivered by Australian Prime Minister on 9 October 2012 in reaction to the opposition leader.
Now, ten years later, one of Australia’s most esteemed and celebrated playwrights, Joanna Murray-Smith, brings the human story behind that speech to the stage.
Canberra Theatre Centre joins forces with Sydney Theatre Company to co-produce a world premier new play, entitled Julia, directed by Helpmann Award-winning Sarah Goodes.

Macbeth
Shakespeare’s most haunting thriller follows the story of Macbeth, a Scottish general, whose ambition for the crown leads to blood on his hands.
2023 marks the 400th anniversary of the publication of Macbeth in Shakespeare’s First Folio, and Bell Shakespeare celebrates this moment with a new production set in the moody 1920s, post-World War I.
Directed by Artistic Director Peter Evans, the production is a terrifying portrayal of moral collapse and an intense and compelling journey into the dark heart of humanity.
