Enlighten Festival (26 Feb – 14 March)

The Enlighten festival spans from the 26th of February to the 14 of March and offers tons of options to celebrate the season. From balloons and symphonies to film screenings in the park, you don’t want to miss this epic festival. Enlighten Illuminations (26 Feb – 8 March)

There’s a misconception that Canberra goes quiet after dark. Enlighten Illumination helps disprove that theory with projections covering some of the most iconic capital buildings in millions of colours and designs. This event is all about the art, with installations spread across the city alongside local food creations and live music. Symphony in the Park (7th of March)

What’s a festival without some music, especially one from an orchestra! Symphony in the park is a night experience like no other. Commonwealth Park will rival any opera house and host a night of music. Canberra Balloon Spectacular (6 – 14 March)

The Canberra Balloon Spectacular is one of the most famous and largest balloon festivals in the southern hemisphere! Lasting over 9 days, the Canberra Skyline will be full of colourful balloons of different shapes and sizes. Some of the world’s most unique balloons have flown here from dancing bees to Vincent Van Gogh’s head, you’ll definitely see something new and exciting. Lights! Canberra! Action! (5 March)

Who needs Hollywood? Canberra is home to many talented filmmakers and this film competition put their creative juices to the test. The finalist’s films will screen at stage 88 and provide a fun experience for the mates, dates, and the family.

Botticelli to Van Gogh (5 March – 14 June)

Masterpieces from the National Gallery, London draws exclusively from one of the greatest collections of European paintings in the world.

This unprecedented exhibition includes 500 years of art in 60 paintings and comprises the largest group of works ever to travel outside of Britain in the National Gallery’s 192-

MIDNIGHT OIL At Stage 88 (17 Mar)

Midnight Oil’s mini-album The Makarrata Project topped the ARIA charts last November. A powerful call for justice and recognition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, it featured on most critics’ lists for ‘The Best of 2020’. The band will finally bring that acclaimed new music – plus a slew of other iconic Midnight Oil Reconciliation songs. Special supporting sets from Dan Sultan & Leah Flanagan.
