We are delighted to have received four awards at the 2016 Australian Hotels Association (AHA) ACT Hospitality Awards on 11 July.
More than 440 people attended the awards event to recognise Canberra’s hospitality business and employees, including hotels, bars and restaurants. Over 30 sponsored Awards were presented on the evening, including awards for outstanding individuals in the local hospitality industry.
Crowne Plaza Canberra received the ‘Best Environmental Practice’ award, highlighting our efforts to be a leader in environmental sustainability. Our strong commitment to supporting community groups, charities and local partners was recognised with the inaugural ‘Outstanding Community Service and Achievement’ award.
Additionally, we are delighted to see two of our colleagues received individual awards. Dharmesh Panvelkar’s passion for food and beverage service and delivery was recognised with the ‘Best Restaurant Service Employee (Accomodation)’. Indigo Collins’ dedication to delivering outstanding guest experiences saw her receive the award for ‘Best Front of House Employee’.
In 2015, Crowne Plaza Canberra was also successful in receiving three awards:
