1. Taste of Braddon & The District Food and Wine Frolic
11 & 12 November
Food, wine and live entertainment in Haig Park in the eclectic Braddon precinct. Have you tried goat yoga? Yes, yoga with goats. If not, then this is definitely an opportunity to tick that off your bucket list. Then enjoy a variety of food and wander over to the District Food and Wine Frolic within Taste of Braddon and find a new favourite wine from one of Canberra’s many local vineyards.
30 November to 10 December 2017
A food truck festival which is the perfect excuse to be outdoors and eat up a storm! Canberra’s best is on display and ready for you to try. Have you tried the meat from Hoy Pinoy or burgers from Down n’ Out or Mary’s? These are high up on our list! For dessert, start at Gelato Messina and, if you have room, try freshly baked Belgian waffles from De Wafel.
16 to 18 February
Taste flavours from around the world over three fun-filled days. Over 280,000 people are expected for one of the biggest festivals of cultural diversity in Australia. Try food from over 400 stalls, enjoy dancing and music and let this Canberra summer event take you on a journey across the world, showcasing some of its tastiest and interesting corners.
Every Saturday Morning
Get a real taste of local produce every Saturday at Exhibition Park with over 100 stallholders who are always ready for a chat. The market also has a phone app to make it easy to check what stalls will be open when and to get more information.
For over 25 years, these markets have been a local drawcard. Enjoy the wide selection of jewellery and accessories to fashion, homewares and, of course, a variety of great food. Think fudge, tea, cheese and spices as well as lots of freshly cooked cuisines for the perfect lunch stop.
